We’re ex­cited to an­noun­ce Maresz’s new di­git­al single “Mem­oria / Hey !,” re­leas­ing today on Citit­rax. Born in Al­maty, Kazakhstan, and raised in Poland, Maresz is a fier­ce­ly talen­ted musician with a deep pass­ion for ex­press­ion. Her love for music began early, sing­ing along to pop bands as a child, and at six, she star­ted form­al train­ing in music school, focus­ing on choir clas­ses to de­velop her voice.

In­spired by Chris­tina Aguilera, she ex­perimen­ted with power­ful vocal styles, and a pivot­al mo­ment came when her teach­er ad­vised her to per­fect her tech­nique rath­er than sing through her throat, ig­nit­ing her com­mit­ment to mas­ter­ing her craft.

At 13, Maresz began post­ing co­v­ers on Soundcloud and was drawn to be­droom pop. By 16, she dis­covered the Eas­tern electronic scene, par­ticular­ly Schema and Kedr Li­vanskiy, in­spir­ing her to pro­duce her own music. Now based in Paris, where she stud­ies Soci­al Sci­ences, Maresz con­tinues to ex­plore new ar­tistic paths, blend­ing her dis­cip­lined foun­da­tion with creativ­ity.

At 21, Maresz is mak­ing waves with her new single on Citit­rax, featur­ing a haunt­ing re­in­terpreta­tion of Nir­vana’s “Come As You Are,” tit­led “Mem­oria,” al­ongside her origin­al track “Hey !” This re­lease show­cases her uni­que blend of post-punk ethos and et­here­al ex­press­ion, pro­mis­ing to cap­tivate li­sten­ers with heartfelt em­o­tion.
